Death Of A Nightingale Fund

Death Of A Nightingale Fund

Many children with special educational needs can never easily enjoy a holiday. They cost too much, and must include a carer.

The Death of a Nightingale Fund within the Community Foundation in Tyne, Wear and Northumberland* provides grants every year to help some of them enjoy a holiday in London or in their nearest capital city.

Words of Thanks

"We had an amazing holiday" "Me and my family had a fantastic few
  days in London"
"The grant made a great difference
  after a hard two years"

Music And Faith In The Classroom

Music should be on offer for all children, but especially for children with special educational needs.

Here the music teacher, Emma Kirk, explores the relationship between Music and Faith. They have been bedfellows since the dawn of civilisation. Whether they have something to say to each other is one of the great issues of the day. To see how this contributes to the ethos of Brighouse School, watch the drama unfold in the film.
